About Saint Louis Housing Commission

Rental Assistance: The Saint Louis Housing Commission administers approximately 155 Section 8 Housing Choice Vouchers. Our program provides subsidies for very low income people who find their own housing in private homes and apartment buildings.

Low Income Public Housing allows eligible families and/or individuals to pay rent based on their adjusted annual income. The Housing Commission owns two developments, Oakridge Apartments and River Ridge Apartments, to provide safe, affordable housing to residents. Oakridge has 40 apartments with one, two, and three bedroom apartments as well as senior and handicapped accessible apartments. River Ridge has 40 apartments with one, two, three, and 4 bedroom Apartments as well as senior housing.
